The hair needs to be 1/4 of an inch long in order for the wax to grab it. I recommend letting your hair grow for at least 10-14 days prior to your appointment.

Yes. Exfoliation is very important prior to your first wax, and in between future waxes. You need to exfoliate 2-3 times a week leading up to your appointment. DO NOT exfoliate the day of, but DO exfoliate the night before. 

Yes. Along with exfoliating 2-3 times a week, you need to use an ingrown hair oil everyday when you get out of the shower. DO use the ingrown hair oil the same day as your appointment, but DO NOT exfoliate for 48 hours after.

Yes. Avoid anything that causes friction, sunburn or perspiration For 24 hours. This includes tanning, working out, and intercourse.
